Data We Collect

We collect and process only the data needed to provide Nauta’s features:

• Discord user IDs, when needed for Discord interaction, permissions, database actions, or abuse prevention.
• Discord server IDs, so each server can have its own separate stored coordinate data.
• Command inputs submitted to Nauta, such as coordinate aliases, dimensions, values, and related fields needed to save, fetch, calculate, or delete coordinates.
• Basic technical or operational data when needed to keep Nauta working, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, or protect the service.

Please do not submit personal data, real world addresses, private contact details, passwords, tokens, or other sensitive information through Nauta commands.

How We Use Data

We use collected data to:

• Provide Nauta’s coordinate storage, fetching, calculation, and deletion features.
• Keep each server’s data separate from other servers.
• Enforce permissions and prevent unauthorized access or abuse.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, secure, and improve Nauta.
• Comply with legal obligations or valid requests from Discord when required.

Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your data.

We only share data when necessary to operate Nauta, such as with database, hosting, infrastructure, or service providers; when required by law; when required by Discord’s rules or valid requests; or when needed to protect Nauta, Discord users, servers, or our infrastructure.

Nauta operates inside Discord, so data you send through Discord may also be processed by Discord under Discord’s own policies.

Data Retention and Deletion

Authorized server members may delete coordinate data directly through Nauta commands where available.

If Nauta is removed from a server, that server’s stored data will be deleted after 24 hours unless we are required to keep it longer for legal, security, or abuse prevention reasons.

If you cannot delete data yourself, or if you have questions about deletion, contact the developers through the Discord profiles linked on the About page.

Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect the data Nauta stores and processes, including provider side security measures where available. However, no online service, database, or Discord bot can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure.

If we become aware of unauthorized access to data, we will take reasonable steps to investigate, limit harm, and notify affected users, server owners, Discord, or authorities when required.

Children’s Privacy

Nauta is not directed to children under 13 or anyone below the minimum age required to use Discord in their country. If you are not allowed to use Discord, you may not use Nauta.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date above. Continuing to use Nauta after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
